Doctor stops Kaprálová at IMMAF Worlds: “I was ready to continue,” says Slovak fighter
Slovak junior national team member Eliška Kaprálová (56.7 kg) lost her chance to advance at the 2026 IMMAF World Championships in Tbilisi because of a cut. Her opponent, Marhabo Boboeva of Tajikistan, went all the way to the final and took silver.

According to Kaprálová, the fight was going well. “We had good exchanges on the feet. I was landing on her and I think that was my path to victory,” said the fighter from Laugaricio Combat Club Trenčín, coached by Vladimír Lendvay.
She did not even notice the cut during the bout. “With the adrenaline, I felt nothing at all.” The cageside doctor, however, stopped the fight. Kaprálová respects the decision but it still hurts: “I was ready to continue. But these are amateur rules and doctors have to follow guidelines.”
World-class level
For the Slovak team member it was a confrontation with the world elite. “The level this year is extremely high. All the fighters are incredibly good and well prepared. It’s something different from fighting at home,” she said.
She has no serious injury and is returning to training immediately. Her next target could be the 2027 IMMAF European Championships in Belgrade. “Every opportunity to compete attracts me, and IMMAF especially. Sooner or later I will bring a medal to Slovakia.”
